Insentify, LLC ("Insentify," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit insentify.com or use our subscription greeting card delivery service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you provide when you:
- Join our waitlist or create an account (email address, name)
- Subscribe to our Service (billing name, billing address, payment card information processed through our payment processor)
- Add recipients and occasions (recipient names, postal addresses, mobile phone numbers, email addresses, relationship descriptions, birth and anniversary dates, occasion preferences, default signatures)
- Personalize cards (message content, tone preferences, custom signatures, handwriting samples, custom images or text)
- Submit customer requests for new occasion types or card designs
- Contact customer support (correspondence, attachments, account details)
- Respond to surveys or feedback requests
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Service, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers)
- Usage information (pages viewed, time spent, links clicked, referring URLs)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party services, including payment processors, delivery partners, analytics providers, and authentication providers if you sign in using a third-party login.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Process subscriptions, billing, add-on purchases, and payments
- Generate, print, mail, and deliver physical greeting cards
- Generate and deliver electronic greeting cards ("e-cards") via email or SMS
- Personalize cards and messages, including by using your provided handwriting samples and default signature preferences
- Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping notifications, review and approval notifications, renewal reminders, account alerts)
- Send pre-send notifications asking you to review or edit scheduled cards before fulfillment
- Send marketing communications about Insentify (you may opt out at any time)
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
- Analyze trends and improve Service performance
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
3.1 Service Providers
We share information with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, including:
- Payment processors (to process subscription billing and add-on purchases)
- Printing and mailing partners (to produce and deliver physical greeting cards)
- Email and SMS delivery services (to deliver e-cards and transactional messages)
- Cloud hosting and data storage providers
- AI content generation services (to generate personalized card messages)
- Analytics, marketing automation, and customer support tools
- Fraud prevention and security services
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
Note regarding SMS data: While Email and SMS delivery providers appear in the list above, your SMS opt-in data, consent records, and mobile phone number are not shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. See the SMS / Text Messaging Program section for full details.
3.2 Legal Compliance
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; to protect our rights, property, or safety; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
3.3 Business Transfers
If Insentify is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and any material change to this Privacy Policy.
3.4 Aggregated or De-identified Data
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
SMS / Text Messaging Program
If you opt in to receive SMS or text messages from Insentify, the following terms apply specifically to that program:
No sharing of mobile information with third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories listed in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Service providers. While we use trusted third-party SMS delivery providers (such as Twilio) solely to transmit the messages you have opted in to receive, your SMS opt-in data, consent records, and mobile phone number are not shared with these or any other third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Opt-in. You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Insentify by completing the dedicated SMS signup form at https://insentify.com/sms-signup, which requires affirmative consent via an unchecked-by-default checkbox. Consent to receive SMS messages is never a condition of any purchase or use of our services.
Opt-out. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@insentify.com.
Message frequency and rates. Message frequency varies. Up to four messages per scheduled card cycle may be sent (review reminders and send confirmations). Message and data rates may apply.
Information collected. When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number, the timestamp of your consent, the IP address from which you opted in, and the version of the consent language you agreed to. This information is stored solely to demonstrate compliance and to deliver the messages you have requested.
4. Recipient Information — Your Responsibility
When you provide us with information about recipients (people to whom you want cards sent), you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal right to provide us with each recipient's information
- You have a personal or family relationship with each recipient sufficient to justify sending them a greeting card
- You will not use the Service to harass, stalk, threaten, or contact anyone who has asked not to be contacted
We use recipient information solely to deliver the cards you request. Recipients may contact us at hello@insentify.com to request removal from future deliveries.
5. Handwriting Samples, Signatures, and Personalization Data
If you upload a handwriting sample, configure default signatures, or submit similar personalization content, we use it only to generate personalized content for cards you send through the Service. We store this data securely and will delete it upon your request or within a reasonable time after you close your account.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and improve performance. You may control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality. We may use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that use cookies to collect usage information.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information longer to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or for legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing hello@insentify.com, subject to limited exceptions.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 All Users
You may:
- Access, correct, or update your account information
- Delete your account and associated personal information
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email

9.2 California Residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information)
- Access the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise your rights, email hello@insentify.com with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will verify your identity before responding. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
9.3 California "Shine the Light" Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not currently disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
9.4 Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other U.S. states (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah) may have similar rights under applicable state law. To exercise such rights, contact hello@insentify.com.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@insentify.com and we will delete it.
11. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States and intended for U.S. users. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
12. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If changes are significant, we may also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
